French Fried Onion Rings Recipe

Ingredients
1 large Spanish or Bermuda onion
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
Cut onion into 1/4 inch slices; separate into rings.
Heat fat or oil (1 inch) in large skillet to 375°.
Beat remaining ingredients with rotary beater until smooth.
Dip each onion ring in batter, letting excess drip into bowl.
Fry a few onion rings at a time in hot fat, turning once, until golden brown, about 2 minutes; drain.
(Can be served immediately.) Cool thoroughly.
Wrap, label and freeze.
15 minutes before serving, heat oven to 350°.
Remove French Fried Onion Rings from freezer and unwrap; place on ungreased baking sheet.
Heat 6 or 7 minutes.
