French Fried Cookies Recipe
French Fried Cookies are a good snack. Some cookies are baked, some others are no bake but these are fried !!! The fried cookies taste as good as the baked or no bakes and are pretty simple to make. They are ready in less time too. Enjoy making these delicious fried cookies.
Ingredients
| Egg yolks | 2 | |
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon, melted | |
| Sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Dash | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Port wine | 4 Tablespoon | |
| All-purpose flour-2 1/4 cups, sifted | ||
| Apricot preserves- as needed | ||
| Fat-for frying | ||
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, beat together egg yolks, butter, sugar and salt.
2)Stir in vanilla and wine.
3)Add flour and stir to make stiff dough.
4)Wrap the dough in waxed paper and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
5)Roll dough out on a lightly floured board about1/2 inch thick.
6)Cut dough in 3-inch circles and wet edges of circles with water.
7)Put a teaspoon of preserves on cookie, fold it and press wet edges together with a fork. Prick on top.
8)Take a pan and heat fat, fry the cookies until golden brown. Drain.
9)Sprinkle confectioners' sugar.

10)Serve the French fried cookies hot or cold.
