5 1/2 cups seasoned meat stock
Few drops Tabasco

Directions
Fry onions in oil until golden brown.
Stir in flour, then stock and seasonings; simmer 10 minutes.
Pour soup into individual ovenproof dishes, put a slice of toast on top, and cover with cheese.
Broil 3 to 4 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
