French Brandied Cherry Muffins Recipe

Ingredients
2 Cups (16-Oz. Can) Sour Cherries
1/2 Cup Brandy
2 Cups Flour
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Soda
Pinch Salt
3/4 Cup Butter
1 Egg
1 Cup Sour Cream
2 Tbsp. Reserved Brandy
Directions
Drain two cups sour cherries and soak overnight in one-half cup brandy.
Drain well before tossing in with dry ingredients.
Reserve brandy for later.
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Cut in butter as you would when making a pie crust.
Whisk egg, sour cream and two tablespoons brandy.
Stir into dry ingredients, mixing quickly.
Fold in cherries.
Batter will be lumpy.
Fill muffin pans three-fourths full and bake until tester comes out clean.
Bake at 375 degrees 20 minutes
