French Baked Fish Steaks Recipe

Ingredients
Bay Leaves – 4
Onion – 1 large, thinly sliced
Fish Steaks – 2 (about 1 ½ pound each of halibut, haddock or cod)
Salad Oil – 3-4 tablespoons
Salt – 1/8 teaspoon
Savoury – ¼ teaspoon
Slivered Blanched Almonds – 1/3 cup
Green Onion – 2, chopped
Lemon Juice – 1 tablespoon
Grated Lemon Rind – 1 teaspoon
White Wine – 2 tablespoons
Parsley – 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
Bouillon Cube – 1
Boiling Water – 1/3 cup
Canned Lobster Bisque – 1 (1/2 ounce)
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 350F
MAKING
2) In a shallow baking dish, place the bay leaves
3) Cover the bay leaves with the sliced onion
4) Brush the fish steaks with the 2 tablespoons of oil and season with salt, pepper and savoury
5) In a frying pan, in the remaining oil brown the slivered almonds
6) In a pot, add the boiling water along with the green onions, lemon juice, lemon rind, parsley, wine and bouillon cube and mix well
7) Cook on a low flame to heat through
8) Pour this liquid over the fish
9) Bake in the oven at 350F for 30 minutes
