French Style Peas Recipe
Ingredients
| Outside lettuce leaves - 3 to 4 | ||
| Peas | 2 Pound | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Water - 2 to 4 Tblsp. | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Margarine | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Shell peas, reserving a few of the pods.
MAKING
2) Use lettuce leaves to line saucepan.
3) On the lettuce, place shelled peas and pods.
4) Mix in sugar and water.
5) Cook the mixture, covering tightly, for 15 to 20 minutes, until tender.
6) Take off the lettuce and add salt, pepper and margarine to the peas.
SERVING
7) Serve at once.
