French Peasant Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 pints good stock or use water and bouillon cube | ||
| 1 lb. mixed root vegetables | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
| 2 oz. stale breadcrumbs | ||
| Cheese | 2 Ounce, grated | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
Bring the stock to the boil; add the diced vegetables and bacon if used.
Cook until really tender, adding seasoning to taste.
Stir in the crumbs and cheese and parsley and serve at once.
