French Peas Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces and cooked | ||
| Green onions | 2 , sliced | |
| Lettuce | 1 Cup (16 tbs), finely shredded | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Chicken broth | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), canned | |
| Peas | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Water chestnuts | 1 Can (10oz), sliced | |
| Seasoned salt | 1 | |
Directions
Add onion to cooked bacon; cook until tender.
Add lettuce; cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in flour.
Add chicken broth; cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Add peas and water chestnuts; mix lightly and heat.
Season to taste with seasoned salt.
