Simple French Onion Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onions | 2 Large, thinly sliced | |
| Flour | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 10 oz. can onion soup | ||
| 1 soup can water | ||
| White wine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic powder | ||
| Toasted French bread slices | ||
| Swiss Cheese | 2 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
In clay pot or microproof casserole, cook onions in butter 7 minutes on HIGH, stirring three times.
Stir in flour, then add soup, water and wine and cook on HIGH 5 minutes longer.
Taste for seasoning.
To serve, place buttered toast slice in onion soup bowl, sprinkle with garlic powder, add soup and top with cheese.
Reheat at 80% power 1-2 minutes per serving to just melt cheese.
Over cooking will make it tough and stringy.
Makes four servings.
