Beef and Onion Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Onions | 4 Large, thinly sliced | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3 10 1/2 ounce cans condensed beef broth | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 2 French or hard rolls, sliced and toasted | ||
| Grated Parmesan cheese or shredded sharp natural Cheddar cheese | ||
Directions
In large saucepan cook onions in butter till lightly browned, about 20 minutes.
Add broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Bring to boiling.
Season with salt and dash pepper.
Sprinkle toast generously with cheese.
Place under broiler till cheese is lightly browned.
Pour soup in bowls.
Float a slice of cheese-topped toast atop each serving.
