Ingredients

 Butter/Margarine1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 White onions2 Large, thinly sliced
 Granulated Sugar1 Teaspoon
 Sliced mushrooms4 Ounce, cleaned
 Beef broth6 Cup (16 tbs)
 Worcestershire sauce1 Teaspoon
 1 tablespoon savory seasonings Garden Blend
 Ground black pepper1/2 Teaspoon
 8 slices French bread sliced 1/2 inch thick dried
 8 slices baby Swiss cheese

Directions

Melt butter in large saucepan over medium high heat.
Add onions, sugar and mushrooms; saute until onions are transparent.
Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Garden Blend and pepper; stir.
Cover; cook until mixture comes to a boil.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover; simmer 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to broil.
Ladle soup into oven safe bowls.
Add one slice French bread to each bowl; top with slice 'of cheese.
Set bowls on rack under broiler until cheese bubbles and browns.
