French Bread Chicken Melts Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 onion, cut in half vertically and thinly sliced | ||
| Green bell pepper | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chicken breast package | 1 , flavored | |
| 1/2 cup fat-free honey Dijon salad dressing | ||
| French bread package | 1/2 | |
| Mozzarella cheese slice | 4 , Processed | |
Directions
1. Preheat broiler.
2. Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray, place over medium-high heat until hot. Add onion and bell pepper,- saute 8 minutes or until very tender, adding water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to prevent scorching. Remove from heat, stir in chicken and salad dressing. Set aside, and keep warm.
3. Split bread in half horizontally,- place bread halves on a baking sheet. Spoon chicken mixture onto bottom half of loaf, top with cheese slices.
4. Broil 1 1/2 minutes or until cheese melts and bread is lightly toasted. Place top half of loaf over cheese. Cut loaf diagonally into 4 equal portions.
