 Water3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 egg, slightly beaten
 Lemon juice1
 2 lbs. peeled, cored and sliced green apples
 All purpose flour3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Firmly packed brown sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cinnamon2 Teaspoon
 Baking powder1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Slivered almonds1/4 Cup (16 tbs), toasted
 Fruit1/4 Cup (16 tbs), candied
 Calvados2 Tablespoon

Directions

In a large bowl, combine water, egg and lemon juice.
Add apples, and toss gently to coat with lemon juice mixture.
In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, almonds and candied fruit; mix well.
Pour over apple mixture, stir well.
Transfer to a lightly greased deep square baking dish.
Pour Calvados over apple mixture.
