Freezer Onion Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Onions | 3 Large, chopped | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 1/2 cup olive or vegetable oil | ||
| Tomatoes | 5 Pound, quartered | |
| Parsley | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1 medium-size green pepper, seeded and chopped | ||
| 1 tablespoon leaf oregano | ||
| Paprika | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Rosemary | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Dry red wine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Saute onion and garlic in oil until tender.
Add tomatoes, parsley, green pepper, seasonings, wine, and water.
Simmer until thick, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Cool and pour into freezer containers, leaving 1/2 inch head space.
Freeze.
