 2 tablespoons drippings, margarine, butter or other fat
 Sauerkraut2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), drained
 Brown sugar2 Tablespoon
 1 tart apple, cored and sliced
 Boiling water1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Frankfurters8

Directions

1. Heat the drippings in a large frying pan, add the sauerkraut, sugar, apple and water. Cover and simmer 10 minutes, or until the apple is tender.
2. Top with frankfurters sliced lengthwise. Cover and simmer 10 minutes more.
