Frank Noodle Bake Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup medium noodles | ||
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Frankfurters | 1/2 pound, thinly sliced | |
| 3 slightly beaten eggs | ||
| Dairy sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup cream-style cottage cheese | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| 1/2 cup cornflake crumbs | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon, melted | |
Directions
Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
Cook onion in 1 tablespoon butter till tender but not brown.
Set aside a few frankfurter slices for garnish.
Combine remaining frankfurter slices, noodles, onion, eggs, sour cream, cottage cheese, salt, and pepper: pour into greased 9-inch pie plate.
Mix cornflake crumbs and 1 tablespoon melted butter; sprinkle over top of frankfurter mixture.
Bake in moderate oven (375°) for 20 minutes; top with reserved frank slices.
Bake 5 minutes more.
Let stand 10 minutes; cut in wedges.
