GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees

2.In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt together
3.Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy
4.Add eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition
5.Then stir in dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla
6.Pour into greased and lined pans
