I wasted a lot of money to waste on a recipe that tastes awful. the ingredients listed made the batter too thick and hard to fold. if you are going to do a video, be honest about the ingredients

It is said fortune cookies originated in California not China!
Theyare served in the West with Chinese food in Chinese-American restaurants as a dessert. Fortune cookies in their current form were said to have been first served in California by immigrants who based the cookie on a traditional Japanese cracker. The cookies are little-known in mainland China.
Makoto Hagiwara of Golden Gate Park's Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco is said to have invented the cookie as an extension to Japanese desserts in 1909,
They are fun no matter who invented them. I have also read they began as messages in mooncakes.

For me, the fun part of any Chinese Take-out are the 'fortune cookies'! But I had not idea they were so easy to make! It would be real fun to make our own and invite friends over for a nice dinner and later have fun with the cookies. Thanks for sharing the recipe. But what would be the food safe ink? Where is it available?
