 Granulated Sugar2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cream of tartar1/8 Teaspoon
 Hot water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Confectioners' sugar

Directions

Combine granulated sugar, cream of tartar, and water in a saucepan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Cook gently to 226ºF or to a thin syrup.
Cool until lukewarm (110°F.), then add enough confectioners' sugar to make a consistency to pour over cakes.
