Flemish Carbonnades Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 lb. round steak, 1 inch thick | ||
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 6 to 8 small new potatoes, peeled | ||
| Onion soup mix envelope | 1 | |
| Beer | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Trim round steak and cut into serving portions.
Combine flour, sugar and pepper; toss with steak to coat thoroughly.
Place potatoes in crock pot and cover with steak pieces.
Thoroughly combine onion soup mix and beer.
Pour over steak, moistening well.
Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 12 hours.
Thicken gravy before serving, if desired.
