Flemish Waffles Recipe
Flemish Waffles is a delicious snack recipe that is simply easy-to-prepare. Once you have this Flemish Waffles, I am sure you will always crave for it.
Ingredients
1 package dry yeast
2 cups lukewarm milk
4 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons brandy
2 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup melted butter
Directions
Sprinkle the yeast over the lukewarm milk and stir to dissolve.
Beat the egg yolks and add them to the yeast mixture with the vanilla and brandy.
Sift together the flour, sugar and salt.
Add the flour mixture to the liquid ingredients.
Stir in the melted butter and combine thoroughly.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and stir 1/4 of the whites into the batter.
Carefully fold in the remainder.
Let the mixture stand in a warm place for about 45 minutes or until double in bulk.
Heat a waffle iron and pour in about 1/2 cup of batter.
Cook until done, about 8 minutes.
Repeat until all the batter is used.
