Flemish Pork Recipe
Flemish Pork is simply one of the most delicious pork dishes I have come across. I love this dish and make it often for grand dinner parties at home! You really have to try this Flemish Pork recipe.
Ingredients
| Pork | 4 1/2 Pound | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), thinly sliced | |
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 medium-size onions, cut into wedges | ||
| Beer | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Potatoes | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Carrots | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Turnip | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| 1 tbsp (15 ml) kneaded butter (beurre manie) (optional) | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
– Make small cuts in the pork and insert garlic.
– In a skillet, heat oil and sear pork on all sides, then season with salt and pepper.
– Add onions and beer, cover and cook over low heat for about 45 minutes or until loin of pork is almost tender. If necessary, add liquid during cooking process.
– Add vegetables, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until meat and vegetables are done, then add kneaded butter to make a smooth sauce.
