Flemish Cod Recipe
This is a very interesting and good recipe of Flemish Cod. A good way to use up Fish is to make some delicious Flemish Cod. The Flemish Cod holds a high place in the European cuisine. It is most popularly enjoyed as a Side Dish. Not trying out this Flemish Cod after reading about it is one of the biggest sins you could possibly imagine of committing.
Ingredients
4 cod fillets, 1/2 pound each
1/4 cup butter
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup warm water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
Directions
Butter an ovenproof dish with 2 tablespoons butter and place the cod fillets in the dish.
Heat the remaining butter in a saucepan and saute the onion over low heat until golden.
Add the warm water and simmer 10 minutes.
Spoon onions and liquid over the fish fillets.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place in a preheated 300° oven for about 30 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle on the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
