Flank Steak Barbecue Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/4 cup soy sauce
 
3 tablespoons honey
 
2 tablespoons vinegar
 
1 1/2 teaspoons each garlic powder and ground ginger (or 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger)
 
3/4 cup salad oil
 
1 green onion, finely chopped
 
1 flank steak, approximately 1 1/2 pounds

Directions

Mix together soy sauce, honey, and vinegar; blend in garlic powder and ginger.
Add oil and chopped green onion.
Place meat in a small pan and pour the mixture over it; let stand 4 hours or longer (turn meat occasionally).
Barbecue over glowing coals, about 5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until done to your liking. Or broil in your oven, allowing about 2 minutes on each side for medium rare.
Baste occasionally with the marinade.
