Flaming Banana Recipe
Flaming banana is a fruity dessert made with fresh and lightly green bananas. Baked with rum and and cooked to finish, the flaming banana is served with whipped cream. I like to drizzle a little honey over this georgous dessert!
Ingredients
| 2 slightly green bananas | ||
| Melted butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Granulated Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons rum, 150 proof Whipped cream | ||
Directions
Presoak a clay pot, top and bottom, in water for 15 minutes.
Peel the bananas and place in the presoaked pot.
Combine the melted butter, sugar, and 1 tablespoon of the rum and add to the pot.
Cover the pot and place it in a cold oven.
Set the oven temperature at 450 degrees.
Cook for 25 minutes.
Remove the pot from the oven and prepare to serve at the table.
Warm the remaining rum in a saucepan, pour over the bananas, and ignite.
Wiggle the pot gently to prolong the flame, then serve with whipped cream.
As long as you're not on a diet, might as well go all the way.
