Flaming Ice Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/2 cup sugar
 
1 cup orange juice
 
2 cups cubed, peeled fresh pineapple
 
2 bananas, sliced
 
1/3 cup light rum

Directions

Put sugar in large, heavy skillet.
Heat and stir over low heat till sugar is melted.
When mixture is golden, remove skillet from heat and slowly stir in orange juice.
Heat and stir till caramelized sugar is dissolved.
Simmer, uncovered, for 8 to 10 minutes.
Gently stir in pineapple and banana; heat till mixture is warm.
In small saucepan or ladle, heat rum; flame.
Pour flaming rum over pineapple mixture.
