Fisherman's Luck Recipe

Fisherman's luck is a halibut steak recipe. Baked in a foil over coals or the oven, the fisherman's luck is cooked with catsup and flavored with garlic salt and bay leaves. Easy, yet delicious, the fisherman's luck is grat for parties and even home dinners and aboslutely flavorful.

Ingredients

 
Aluminum foil
 
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
 
1/2 cup chopped onion
 
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
1/2 cup catsup
 
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
 
2 small bay leaves
 
1 3/4 pounds 1 inch frozen halibut steaks, cut in 4 serving pieces
 
Salt and pepper

Directions

For each serving, cut a 28 inch length of aluminum foil and fold it in half.
Cook the green pepper and onion in butter till they are tender but not brown.
Add catsup, garlic salt, and the bay leaves.
Simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
For each person, place 1 serving halibut in foil, just off center; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Pour 1/4 of the sauce over each serving.
Fold each of the 4 packages.
Cook over glowing coals, or place on shallow pan and bake in extremely hot oven (500°) 15 to 20 minutes, or till done.
