Fish In Greek Sauce Recipe
The fish in greek sauce is a wonderfully flavorful and delicious recipe prepared with crap or flounder. Fried and served with the greek flavored with vegetables, tomato paste, parsley and paprika along with salt and pepper, the fish is best served hot with a chilled sauce.
Ingredients
| 1 pound carp, white fish, or flounder fillets | ||

| Fresh parsley sprigs | ||

| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced (Greek Sauce:) | |
| 1/2 cup coarsely shredded carrots | ||
| 1/2 cup coarsely shredded parsley root | ||
| Onion | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), diced (Greek Sauce:) | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Greek Sauce:) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon (Greek Sauce:) | |
| Tomato Paste | 1 Can (10oz) (Greek Sauce:) | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon (Greek Sauce:) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon (Greek Sauce:) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon (Greek Sauce:) | |
| Paprika | 1/2 Teaspoon (Greek Sauce:) | |
Directions
Cut fish fillets into 2 inch pieces.
Fry fish in hot oil in a skillet, then sprinkle with salt.
Drain on paper towels.
Arrange on a serving platter and keep warm.
Garnish with parsley.
For sauce, heat oil in a skillet.
Stir-fry celery, carrots, and parsley root for 3 minutes.
Add onion, water, and salt.
Cover; cook over low heat 15 minutes.
Add remaining sauce ingredients; stir to mix.
