Fish Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 lbs. white-meated fish | ||
| Cold water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 2/3 cup salt pork, cut in cubes | ||
| Onions | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 3 cups sliced raw potatoes | ||
| Boiling water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Place fishing pan and add cold water to cover and salt bring to a boil slowly, cover,.and simmer for 10 minutes.
Drain off stock and save.
Remove skin and bones from fish; flake fish.
In heavy kettle fry salt pork pieces until1 brown, then add onions and cookuntil tender.
Season, add potatoes and boiling water and let simmer 10 minutes.
Add fish and fish stock, bring to a boil again and simmer 15 minutes.
