Microwave Fish Surprise Recipe
Ingredients
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Whole Cloves | 6 | |
| Lemon slice | 1 | |
| Onion slice | 1 | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper red | 1/2 inch | |
| Halibut | 1 pound, Defrosted | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups medium white sauce | ||
| 1/2 cup blanched almonds or salted cashews, finely chopped | ||
| Bread crumbs | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), toasted | |
Directions
Place bay leaf, cloves, lemon, onion, salt, vinegar, red pepper and fish in 2-quart casserole.
Pour in water.
Cover.
MICROWAVE 3 to 5 MINUTES on HIGH, or until fis.h flakes easily.
Let stand, covered, while preparing white sauce.
Remove fish, drain broth and discard.
Break fish into 1-inch pieces.
Return to casserole.
Stir nuts into white sauce.
Pour over fish.
Top with bread crumbs.
MICROWAVE 3 to 4 MINUTES on '6', or until sauce bubbles.
Pour in water.
Cover.
