Ingredients

 Bay Leaf1
 Whole Cloves6
 Lemon slice1
 Onion slice1
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Vinegar1 Tablespoon
 Pepper red1/2 inch
 Halibut1 pound, Defrosted
 Water1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 cups medium white sauce
 1/2 cup blanched almonds or salted cashews, finely chopped
 Bread crumbs1/2 Cup (16 tbs), toasted

Directions

Place bay leaf, cloves, lemon, onion, salt, vinegar, red pepper and fish in 2-quart casserole.
Pour in water.
Cover.
MICROWAVE 3 to 5 MINUTES on HIGH, or until fish flakes easily.
Let stand, covered, while preparing white sauce.
Remove fish, drain broth and discard.
Break fish into 1-inch pieces.
Return to casserole.
Stir nuts into white sauce.
Pour over fish.
Top with bread crumbs.
MICRO WAVE 3 to 4 MINUTES on '6', or until sauce bubbles.
