Fish Steaks In Orange Sauce With Broccoli And Almonds Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 tbsp / 25 g / 1 oz butter | ||
| Cornstarch | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 1 1/4 cups / 300 ml / 1/2 pt orange juice | ||
| Grated rind of 1 orange | ||
| 4 fish steaks, about 150 g / 5 oz each | ||
| 30 ml / 2 tbsp water | ||
| 8 spears broccoli | ||
| Slivered almonds | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), flaked | |
Directions
Put the butter in a bowl and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the cornflour (cornstarch) and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the orange juice and cook for 3 minutes, whisking after each minute. Stir in the orange rind. Keep the sauce warm.
Put the fish steaks in a dish with the water. Add the broccoli and the almond slivers. Cover with vented cling film (plastic wrap) and cook for 4 minutes, rearranging once, until the fish is done and the broccoli is tender.
Pour the orange sauce over 4 heated plates, add the fish and garnish with the broccoli and almonds.
Put the fish steaks in a dish with the water. Add the broccoli and the almond slivers. Cover with vented cling film (plastic wrap) and cook for 4 minutes, rearranging once, until the fish is done and the broccoli is tender.
Pour the orange sauce over 4 heated plates, add the fish and garnish with the broccoli and almonds.
