Fish Log Recipe

This recipe of Fish Log was picked up by me from a gourmet magazine, I twisted it a little bit to meet my taste here I am, sharing my version with you. Stock up on Fish as you will want to make this Fish Log time and again. I will prepare this Fish Log as Main Dish for a get-together I am soon going to host. I am certain both of us will be in agreement that this Fish Log is really delicious.

Ingredients

 
10 cooked potatoes
 
Salt and pepper
 
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
 
1 onion, finely chopped
 
2 tbsp (30 ml) chopped parsley
 
1 lb (450 g) cooked fish
 
Water
 
1 egg white, beaten
 
Spicy Sauce
 
3 tbsp (45 ml) butter
 
1 onion, finely chopped
 
1 garlic clove, finely sliced
 
1/2 Cup (125 ml) ketchup
 
1/2 Cup (125 ml) water
 
1 tsp (5 ml) Worcestershire
 
Sauce
 
1 tbsp (15 ml) vinegar
 
3/4 tsp (3 ml) sugar

Directions

–  Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
–  Make a thick potato puree and season with salt and pepper.
–  In a skillet, melt butter, then saute and stir together onions, parsley, and fish. Stir mixture into potato puree.
–  Spread mixture on a sheet of waxed paper and roll to shape, then remove waxed paper.
–  In a bowl, add a small amount of water to beaten egg and coat log with this mixture, then bake for 20 minutes or until log becomes golden.
