Simple Fish Fry Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/3 cup yellow corn meal | ||
| All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Fish fillets | 1 pound | |
| Salad oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine corn meal, flour, salt, and paprika.
Dip fish in corn meal mixture to coat.
In skillet, heat oil over hot coals for about 10 minutes.
Fry fillets till brown on one side, about 4 minutes.
Turn and brown on other side.
Cook till fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
Do not overcook.
Small fish may be fried whole.
Larger fish are boned and cut in steaks or fillets before frying.
Reduce cooking time for thin fillets.
