Fish Fry Recipe
This fish fry is a cornmeal coated fish fry can be made with a fish of choice. fried in a skillet, the buttermilk and cornmeal coated fish fry has a mild buttermilk taste to them and are simple yet delicious.
Ingredients
3 cups white or yellow corn meal
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
2/3 cup water
Directions
Combine dry ingredients and onion.
Add buttermilk and water; stir just till corn meal mixture is moistened.
Drop rounded tea spoonfuls into deep, hot fat (375°) (or into skillet used to fry fish).
Fry till golden brown, turning once, about 2 minutes.
Drain on paper towels; serve at once.
