Fish Baked With Sour Cream Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 large onion, sliced thin
 
Salt and fresh pepper to taste
 
1 lemon, sliced thin
 
1 cup sour cream
 
3/4 cup dry white wine
 
6 filets of fish, 1 inch thick (halibut, swordfish, or any thick fish)

Directions

Cover the bottom of a shallow baking dish with slices of onion.
Lay the lemon slices over the onion.
Add wine and stir.
Put into 400° F oven and cook 10-15 minutes to soften.
Arrange fish filets on top of onion and lemon.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Place in 400° Foven and bake 10-15 minutes covered.
Uncover.
Spread the sour cream over the fish and place dish 2 inches from broiler unit.
Glaze the top until cream is lightly brown.
