Firehouse Barbecued Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
| Catsup | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange marmalade | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Celery seed | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Chili powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce | ||
| Fryer chicken | 3 Pound | |
Directions
For sauce, stir together catsup, marmalade, vinegar, celery seed, chili powder, and hot pepper sauce.
Rinse chicken; pat dry with paper towels.
Arrange preheated coals around a drip pan in a covered grill.
Test for medium heat above the pan.
Place chicken, bone side down, on the grill over the drip pan.
Cover and grill for 50 to 60 minutes or till chicken is tender and no longer pink, brushing occasionally with sauce during the last 10 minutes of grilling.
Heat any remaining sauce.
Serve sauce with chicken.
