Fruit Filled Bars Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups dates or figs, pitted, chopped
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2/3 cup unsweetened prune juice
rind of 1 lemon, grated
Directions
Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
Cook gently until thick.
Cool.
After fruit filling is spread over dough, cover with remaining dough.
Bake at 400° F. for 20 to 25 minutes.
When cool, cut into bars
