Directions
2. Start oven, set at Moderate, 325° F. Rub a shallow pan with shortening or margarine. Spread the cookie batter evenly in the greased pan.
3. Beat the egg white stiff, add the brown sugar and vanilla and beat thoroughly. Spread the mixture over the cookie mixture. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over it and press lightly.
4. Bake 20 minutes, or till batter is baked and topping is browned. Remove from the oven and while still warm cut in squares or strips.
