Filled Lamb Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground lamb | 1/2 pound | |
| 1 tablespoon fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Green onion tops | 1 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Curry powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 2 to 3 ounces natural Swiss cheese, cut in 1/2-inch cubes | ||
Directions
In small mixing bowl combine lamb, bread crumbs, green onion tops, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and curry powder.
Shape about 1 teaspoon meat mixture around each Swiss cheese cube to make 1 -inch meatballs.
Pour salad oil into fondue cooker to no more than 1/2 capacity or to depth of 2 inches.
Heat over range to 375°.
Add 1 teaspoon salt.
Transfer cooker to fondue burner.
Have lamb balls at room temperature in serving bowl.
Spear lamb ball with fondue fork; fry in hot oil about 2 minutes or till browned.
Transfer to dinner fork before eating.
