Filet Mignon Recipe Video
Filet mignon is prepared from the lower-most section o the beef tenderloin and is a great lunch or dinner recipe that is perfect to be served on family holidays. A classic and easy to prepare beef recipe, filet mignon goes best with hollandaise sauce served over it with a side of vegetables.

Ingredients
1 carrot, sliced vertically
3 asparagus spears, trimmed
1 clove garlic, minced
1 shallot, sliced
1 portobello mushroom, sliced
Crushed peppercorn
Course salt
Slice of beef tenderloin for mignon filet, 1.5 in, 8 oz.
Olive oil
Merlot red wine, 1 cup
Prepared hollandaise sauce
Tarragon
Directions
Add a drop of olive oil on the meat and rub it all over with the salt and pepper.
Boil carrot and asparagus for around 8 minutes.
Grease a skillet and set it over medium/high heat.
Sear the top for 4 minutes.
Sear the sides briefly and flip to sear the bottom for2 minutes.
Add the shallot, garlic and mushroom slices.
Cook for 2 minutes and remove the medium prepared beef.
Add the wine and bring to a boil.
Let the liquid reduce for 2 minutes.
Serve with asparagus spears and carrots.
Pour hollandaise sauce over the vegetables and beef.
Sprinkle with tarragon.
