Filet Mignon With Bearnaise Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Bearnaise Sauce | ||
| 4 beef tenderloin steaks (filet mignon), 1 1/2 inches thick (6 ounces each), trimmed | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper | ||
| Olive oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
1. Prepare Bearnaise Sauce; keep warm.
2. Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. In nonstick 12-inch skillet, heat oil over high heat until very hot. Add steaks and cook, without turning, until browned, about 7 minutes. Turn steaks and cook 7 minutes longer for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Transfer to plates; keep warm.
3. To serve, spoon Bearnaise Sauce over meat.
