Fig-Stuffed Baked Apples Recipe

Ingredients
6 fig bars, quartered
1/3 c. orange juice
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
6 Ige. tart apples
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. grated orange rind
Directions
Combine fig bars, orange juice and corn syrup; let stand for 10 minutes.
Core apples; pare 1/4 of the way down.
Place in greased shallow baking dish.
Spoon fig mixture into center of apples.
Dissolve sugar in boiling water; add butter and orange rind.
Pour over apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until apples are tender, basting frequently.
