Fig Jelly Recipe
Jelly is a favorite with almost all kids. Now you can give you kids a tasty yummy jelly treat. This fig jelly lets you master the nuances of making jelly at home. Ingredients
| 3 lb. half-ripe figs | ||
| Sugar | 3 Pound | |
| 2 Ige. lemons,sliced | ||
Directions
Wash figs; remove stems.
Bring sugar and 2 cups water to a boil in large kettle; stir until sugar is dis- solved.
Add figs and lemons; bring to a rolling boil for 30 minutes.
Remove from heat; strain mixture through jelly bag.
Return liquid to kettle; bring to a rolling boil.
Boil for 5 minutes or until jelly sheets from spoon.
Skim.
Pour into hot sterilized jars; seal with paraffin.
