 Dried figs1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Mace1 Teaspoon

 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Egg1
 Pineapple1/3 Cup (16 tbs), crushed
 Flour1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
 Baking soda3/4 Teaspoon
 Heavy cream1 1/2 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 400F degrees
MAKING
2.Pour boiling water over figs, cover and let stand about 5 minutes
3.Drain, dry on a towel, clip stems and slice fine
4.Cream butter with 2/3 cup sugar, spices and salt until fluffy
5.Add egg and beat well
6.Add pineapple and figs
7.Sift flour with soda and add, mixing well
8.Pour into greased (11x7 inch) pan
9.Smooth top with spatula and spread with mixture of remaining sugar and cream
10.Bake in hot oven for 20 to 25 minutes
11.Cut into squares
