Fig Sauce For Meat Loaf Or Pork Roast Recipe
Ingredients
| Cornstarch | 2 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 1/2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Dried figs | 1 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Honey to taste | ||
Directions
In a saucepan, combine cornstarch and lemon juice.
Gradually stir in pineapple juice and salt.
Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
Turn down heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in diced figs.
Simmer approximately a minute longer.
Remove from heat, add honey to taste, pour into sauceboat and serve with meat loaf or pork roast.
