Fig Nut Confection Recipe

I am sharing this recipe of fig nut confection which is near and dear to my heart. Get all set to serve fig nut confection as a dessert today. Fruits is the key ingredient in fig nut confection. This fig nut confection recipe is sure to sweep you off your feet!

Ingredients

 
1 cup dried figs
 
1 cup nuts (English walnuts, pecans, or almonds)
 
1/3 cup BASIC CAROB SYRUP
 
1/4 cup dry milk powder
 
1 teaspoon honey
 
1 tablespoon butter

Directions

Soak figs in boiling water for about 10 minutes.
Drain and dry on paper towels.
Remove ends and put through food chopper, along with nuts, using medium blade.
Mix figs and nuts and pat into an 8 x 8-inch square on a buttered pan or sheet.
In a small saucepan, mix carob syrup, milk powder, honey, and butter.
Stir over low heat for about 5 minutes, until well blended.
Spread one-half of carob mixture over fignut square.
Chill, turn square over, and spread remaining carob mixture over the other side.
Cut into small squares.
