Fig Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups canned peeled Kadota figs, quartered, well drained
1 (scant) cup sugar
2 1/2 cups half and half or milk
Fresh figs (optional garnish)
Directions
Combine figs and sugar in heavy-bottomed large skillet over low heat.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves and mixture simmers.
Continue simmering 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in half and half.
Let cool.
Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, about 1 hour.
