1 lb. round steak, cut in 1/4 in. strips
 
3 tbsp. fat, melted
 
2/3 c. water
 
1 3 oz. can sliced mushrooms
 
1 envelope onion soup mix
 
1 c. sour cream
 
2 tbsp. flour
 
2 tbsp. sherry (opt.)

Directions

Brown meat in fat.
Add water and mushrooms.
Stir in onion soup mix.
Bring to a boiling point.
Blend sour cream and flour; add to meat mixture.
Stir in sherry.
Cook until thickens slightly.
Serve over hot buttered noodles or rice.
