 Onion1
 Pepper1
 Garlic3 Tablespoon
 Chicken broth2 Cup (32 tbs)
 Ham steak1

Directions

Heat some olive oil in a pan and add in the onions, bell pepper and ham.
Add in the garlic. Stir and sauté.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Stir and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
Add in the beans with the water.
Add chicken broth to cover the ingredients fully.
Simmer on medium low heat for about 11/2-2 hours with lid on till the beans begin to soften, stirring in between.
Serve over rice.
